Hotel Epik Montreal, a 3-star boutique property in Old Montreal, occupies an 1835-built four-story building on cobblestoned St Paul Street. The property features original stonework, a lobby gas fireplace, and a coffee shop with full bar, while historic accents merge with contemporary style throughout.

Contemporary Historic Rooms

The 10 spacious rooms at Hotel Epik Montreal combine rough-hewn limestone and exposed brick walls with contemporary furniture and modern bathrooms featuring rainfall showers and mood lighting. Front-facing rooms overlook St Paul Street with views of Old Montreal's iconic architecture.

Italian Dining Experience

The property's restaurant serves classic Italian fare in a dining room characterized by long wooden tables, padded purple walls, and limestone walls. A secluded terrace operates during summer, while full hot breakfast includes quiche and home-baked goods.

Historic Common Areas

The ground floor provides multiple spaces for relaxation, including a front bar for people-watching and green leather upholstered chairs near the fireplace. A giant trellised wooden wheel, remnant of the building's industrial past, dominates the sky-lit open space.

My stay at Hotel Epik Montreal was truly nice. The cozy atmosphere of the room was inviting, highlighted by the original stone and wooden beams. The staff were really good, providing warm service throughout my visit. However, the lack of an elevator could be a concern for those with heavy luggage, and the breakfast options didn’t entirely meet my expectations in temperature and variety.
